For the Cybernetica office, it was necessary to renovate and modernize the workspace of one of the most significant research- and development-intensive ICT companies, transforming it into a representative and functional office in Tallinn, close to TalTech and Mektory.
The large office has approximately 100 workstations. The use of space was influenced by existing constraints, such as low ceiling heights and the locations of corridors and offices, which were retained.
The design concept is conservative and representative. The company’s field of activity requires quiet, privacy, and confidentiality. This also influenced the interior layout, where all employees were provided with separate offices and a shared relaxation area was created. The spaces use the company’s brand colors, combined with light wood and neutral gray tones, to create a calm working environment.
Although the brief was challenging, the work process progressed smoothly, although a few challenges still had to be addressed, such as the fact that the corridor ceilings could not be left open.
The collaboration with the client proceeded harmoniously, as even the boldest idea — a wine-red ceiling in the relaxation area — was received positively. We are particularly pleased with the design elements in the reception and relaxation areas, which give the space a distinctive character.
