If the architecture of the Pärnu terminal represents the water strider itself, the interior is inspired by the living environment of this insect, more precisely the ripples in the surface layer of water, which are created by the action of them or some prey animals. At the same time, the waves also symbolize the sudden appearance of people arriving at the station by train and their smooth dispersion in different weather patterns.
Consistently light colors create the necessary spaciousness of the long and narrow terminal waiting room, and the effective undulating ribbed ceiling plays a supporting interior architectural role. Spatial playfulness is added by the copper shingles on the facades of the interior volumes, reminiscent of the architectural outer shell.
