The interior architectural design of VÕIVÕI restaurant is a collaboration based on a concept created by DA.bureau. On the ground floor, guests are welcomed by a restaurant where they can enjoy flavours prepared over a live fire. The second floor houses a cocktail and wine bar. At the heart of the restaurant’s concept is an open-fire grill located in the open dining hall. To highlight this focal point, a sculptural art installation flowing beneath the ceiling named “smoke” was conceived. Its final form was designed and executed by the artist Argo Männik. LÄVI designed all custom-made furniture as well as the built architectural elements.
It was important to create a soft and warm interior through the use of materials - one that invites guests to gather around the table and enjoy their meal. Special attention was therefore given to the lighting design, which allows the overall atmosphere and character of the space to shift between daytime, evening, and nighttime settings.
